WHO SHOULD APPLY
We encourage all budding entrepreneurs and established startups to apply and to ensure a fun, fair, and rewarding experience we are offering two (2) Tracks.
Track 1: Budding Entrepreneurs (pre-launch)
This track is open to any innovator or entrepreneur who a) has a well-defined business idea, b) can demonstrate a clear understanding of your target market and c) able to present a compelling reason for market demand.
Track 2: Established Startups (in business)
This track is open to any Founder of a revenue generating business who a) can clearly demonstrate originality and uniqueness of your product or service, b) effectively communicate the benefits and advantages of their solution compared to existing alternatives, and c) outline a robust and solid business model that demonstrates a clear path to profitability and long-term success.
WHAT’S EXPECTED
Round 1: Application Deadline – Friday, September 22, 2023 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time
All applicants must complete their profile on the Harness platform and upload a Business Model Canvas, please click here for a sample and instructions on how to complete the Business Model Canvas.
Round 2: Video Submission Deadline – Monday, October 02, 2023 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time
Contestants that are invited to ROUND 2 will receive an email with information on what to include, and how to upload and submit their max 3-minutes long Pitch Video.
Round 3: Wednesday, November 7, 2023 LIVE Pitch Finals at Hampton University
The 5 finalists of each track will be invited to present in-person on-stage in front of a panel of Pitch Judges and a live audience in Hampton, Virginia, (travel, hotel and meals included).
